Don't get any funny ideas in your head. They are going to move out and live in the road so im not going to move back in with them. I gonna have alot of work to do inorder to make there place livable under my standards but I'm up to the challange. That is right. I now can watch the eager little beavers gather food in the form of algae that is on the rocks. This just happens to be the very first step of tank reformation in to the very colourful reef and exotic fish tank that I once had. Hopefully in about a month or two I can add some clown fish, a yellow tang and a coral beauty. After that I put down about 10 lbs of Ft Lauderdale sand on the bottom. After that I filled the tank up with fresh water and when the water level was full I then added about 20 cups of coral granuals. I then turned on the pumps and added about 30 pounds of salt. I need to let it all desolve into the water and later tonight I have to check it. THen hopefully tomorrow I can start adding all of my live rock back to the tank. If all goes well late Sunday or after work Monday I can start adding life to my tank in the form of blue leg crabs scarlet red crabs and of course large turbo snails. THen after about 2 or 3 months I can add some coral.

Balancing out

About a week ago I had all of the new pipes connected to my aquarium. I had 2 pipes for water to drain out of my show tank and the water fills up a smaller sump tank by the way of using some valves and a pump motor. Then I also have 2 pipes and 2 valves and a pump motor to pump the water back to my show tank. Unfortunatly I was not able to balance out the water flow from the two tanks. There was more water being returned to my show tank then there was water being extracted and you can only guess what happens then. If your are alittle slow let us put it this way, The water from the big tank spills out on to the fuckin floor and I have a big mess. Anyway I decided to try and take a different turn on things and do alittle research. So this morning I looked on the internet and found a nifty device called a overflow box. With this device that mounts on the side of the tank by using an ingenious method of syphoningand alittle piping I now have 2 pump motors pumping water to the show tank and an inch and a quarter pipe taking water out of the tank. So basicaly it doesnt mater how much water I add to the tank the overflow box syphons the excess water back down to the sump tank with no mess on the floor. What I really like about this is that my tank will be more stable by the use of more water in my tank system and the water level in my show tank never changes so when I have to add water I only and it to my sump tank.

Workin on the new Tank

Last week I got bored so I finally started to clean out my large aquarium. Now that it is clean I have added a 30 gallon sump aquarium and a few pumps and valves so I can have all of my filters and heaters in the sump tank and then you can't see any of that stuff in my big tank. I have it all together but I need to get some float switches so that the tanks will not over flow. Then when I get this all done I can finally get more fish and coral after about a month of letting the water settle. I hope I can make it look good like I had it before all of my stuff died.

Making good progress on the pad.

FOr the last few weeks I have been working my arse off on my house. All until I seen a nifty little color pattern and I decided to go with it. Sunday night I started to paint in my bedroom and the color I chose is called Earthy Cain. I am going to have this color as a base coat and then Im going to choose a darker shade and spunge over it to give it a texture look. I should be able to finish this tomorrow night and then I can paint my living room and hallway.

I have chosen 2 colors for my living room and hallway. I plan to put up a chair rail at about 36 inches and the lower half of the wall is going to be a color called Brick dust which is a dark red. Above the chair rail I am going to use a color called Allspice which is kinda a burnt Orange look to it.

Painting can be such a drag

Ok Little boys and girls I'm back with a little post for your entertainment.

I am now in the middle of painting my house. Yesterday I finished putting ceiling tiles in my bathroom and today after work I Calked all of the trim around my bathtub. Then I put on the finishing touches with some flowers and a few paintings and candles to make it smell good after I'm done takin a monsterous dump. But all in all I think it looks pretty good. Next I need to finish taping and mudding in my room and then paint. Hopefully I can then finish the floor and do some trim work then the inside of my house will be complete.

Art was in the Air.

Not only was there art but also plenty of boozin'.

This past Saturday I tried my hand at alittle bartending. During the St Louis art fair in the greater Clayton area there was an Art fair and John and I decided to be bartenders. After the first half hour was going fine and me having a nice little buzz on. I got yelled at for drinking on the job. Last year it was no big deal according to John but on Friday night some drunken buffoon tending the bar decided to hit on other girls and say profanities so the drinking for us was spoiled. Thank god I got in a few shots before I couldn't drink anymore. After a few hours we were releaved of duty and we decided to check out some of the art around town. There was some really nice stuff there. To bad I could't afford any of it.

What a busy day

Today after work I went over to my parents house for dinner. Then afterwards I had to help my Granny move some stuff from her basement to her garage. She is going to have a garage sale and try to sell as much stuff a possible because she is going to be moving to an assisted living home at the corner of Vance and Hanna in Valley Park. After that I had to go over to my Uncle's house and move a couch and a weight machine over to my parents house. When I got back home I then went over to Lowe's and got some solar lites to match the ones I got from my Granny's house and also got some solar powered spot lites and strategically placed them around my pond and front walkway. Man it looks nice. This weekend I would like to put some more lites on the front of my house and put them on a timer. That would be swell.

1 more day and then I get to use my new bat. Tommorrow I plan to take ou tthe rest of my fish and the live rock and then clean out my tank.

My next step is then build a sump tank with the new tank which dumps the dirty water from the large tank into the small tank, which is then filtered out and the clean water is then reintroduced into the large tank. By doing this it is a much better setup in the fact that if I need to add new nutrients to the water it is done in the small tank. and also in the large tank you will not be able to see all of the filters and skimmers.

it will be alot of work but in the end it will be worth it.

Continuing on with the Bitching if I may.

Man do you all know how shitty it is when you don't have power for 40 fuckin hours. I went 8 for 8 with a three run shot over the top of the school building and 3 doubles to top that. Even though we gave it our all it was still not enough when I hit my 3rd double of the night with 2 on and two out with the tieing run on third. The batter behind me flew out to end the game and we lost 9-8. Oh well I guess that is the way it goes sometimes. Not to fear we will be playing more of the tourney this Sunday. Hopefully we can spark a few keen hits and rally some runs.
